A little over a month ago, the DMV collective (Speaks, T, Justice the Genius Child/Anansi The BeatMaker, Lovely aka Miaa Wallace Emcee) Vulgar Genius released their album, Now. The ten track project includes production from Top Brand, Black Vigilante, Origami, Beat Joven and more. Been vibing out this project since it was released, and it’s refreshing to hear emcees together making good music. My favorites are “Relax N Vibe”, “Look At God”, and “Persian Rug”.
